Bone health

Calcium and magnesium are essential minerals in our daily diet. They play a major role in building stronger, denser bones early in life and keeping bones healthy and strong in later life. Calcium is also important for mineralization of teeth and for muscle contraction, while both minerals are essential for many enzymatic reactions in our bodies.

Various studies have shown that consuming inulin or oligofructose increases the absorption of calcium and possibly of magnesium. This is important in building stronger bones and maintaining bone quality. There are also string indications that increased mineral absorption can lead to better bone mineralization.
